Summer favorite no 2 – #sovjetbanking

I am not a great fan of twitter. In my mind, it is a blunt tool that only can be used for general broadcasting of trivial matters. Trying to engage in a debate on complex subjects with a 140 character limit is impossible. I learned this the hard way when I challenged an experienced twitter expert with several thousand followers. He had ridiculed Skandia in a tweet for not participating in a price comparison with the motivation that they didn’t want to get compared to institutions that didn’t offer advisory service. And his response to me, when I questioned his outrage, was a real cheap shoot with an accusation of me representing #sovjetbanking. The blog post that I rank as my second best is my response to his tweet. I used more than 140 characters but I hope that you enjoy the reading anyway and see the point that I wanted to make that a price comparison of the services of execution-only players and financial advisors is flawed.
